North Shore Bank's Potter Honored With Exchange Club of Milwaukee's 'Book of Golden Deeds'

Award recognizes volunteerism, community commitment

BROOKFIELD, Wis. - David J. Potter, senior vice president and North Shore Bank's chief lending officer, has been honored with the 2008 Book of Golden Deeds Award by the Exchange Club of Milwaukee. The award, the National Exchange Club's longest-running project, is given annually to dedicated members who volunteer their time and talents toward making their communities better places to live.

The Exchange Club is an all-volunteer, national service organization that offers members the opportunity to develop personal and business leadership skills while completing service projects that benefit their communities. Exchange activities include helping to prevent child abuse, awarding scholarships to deserving youth and participating in crime prevention and Americanism projects.

Potter has been a member of the Exchange Club of Milwaukee since 1980 and has played a leading role in many of the club's projects, including the Exchange Club Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse in Southeast Wisconsin and the Richard P. Ross Youth Scholarship Foundation. Additionally, Potter works with the bank and the Exchange Club to organize North Shore Bank's annual collection of worn and tattered flags for retirement. That program is now in its seventh year.

"North Shore Bank places a high value on community involvement and Dave has been an important leader in that regard," said Jim McKenna, president and CEO of North Shore Bank. "We congratulate Dave on this honor. It's well-deserved, and Dave's community commitment is an inspiration to all of us at the bank."

Potter is a resident of Germantown.
